The Last Question

Here are the responses from the last question on my survey of 100 LGBT seniors.

Almost 70% would prefer a senior community that is open to all but welcoming and inclusive of LGBT seniors.  Senior communities, it is time to pay attention to what we want.  A place to start?  Check out my previous post!

So what DO we want?

What do we want in terms of senior housing?  Here are the survey results collected in 9 states during our cross-country trip earlier this year.

One hundred respondents volunteered to take a 10-question, on-line survey.  This was question #9:  What characteristics are important to you in senior housing?  (Check all that apply.)  

Note  "Close proximity to my current home/community" was less important than having welcoming and inclusive senior housing.  Interesting!
